Taran Adarsh announced the first-day collection of Bharat while drawing comparisons with other big openings of 2019 including Total Dhamaal, Luka Chuppi, Kalank, Uri and others. He wrote, "#Salmania grips the nation... #Bharat storms the BO... India biz."

The film was released on 4,700 screens in India along with 30 other countries simultaneously. The first day collection, as we told earlier, was a bit affected by World Cup 2019 India vs South Africa match which took place in England.

Talking about Salman Khan's Eid offerings for the past few years, Sultan opened at ginormous number of Rs 36 crore at the box office back in 2016. In 2017, he came out with Tubelight which was not as happily accepted as rest of his films by his fans. Race 3 managed to cross Rs 300 crore at the box office.

With Bharat, Salman Khan delighted his fand with a performance that stayed long after the film ended. Ali Abbas Zafar made sure that everyone gets something from Bharat. The three-hour-long film had all the elements that are required to make a masala entertainer in India.

Bharat Movie review: Salman Khan's inexhaustible swag and Ali Abbas Zafar's direction make for a perfect Eid gift

India TV's film critic Mansi Jain wrote, "While Salman is at the centrestage of this drama, Sunil Grover raises the bar for himself and Katrina Kaif yet again impresses us with her grace. Bharat is a good amalgamation of emotions and humour with tadka of Salman Khan-moments. Overall, the movie has its heart at the right place and is indeed, 'Journey of a man and a nation together'."

Bharat has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and bankrolled by Atul Agnihotri under Reel Life Productions.
