Neeraj Pandey's Aiyaary is one of the first big releases of 2018 and the thriller promises to kick-start the upcoming year with a bang. Makers have released the trailer and it looks like a roller-coaster ride. The three minutes long trailer gives us a glimpse of relationship between mentor Manoj Bajpayee and his protegee Sidharth Malhotra. The film has a powerful star cast including Neeraj Pandey's favourites- Anupam Kher and Naseeruddin Shah.

The story is about a scam in defence deal and two army officers with different ideologies. Both of them have their own ways of doing things. Manoj Bajpayee plays the role of Colonel Abhay Singh and Sidharth is essaying the character of Major Jai Bakshi, a surveillance officer. As usual, Manoj Bajpayee is all set to add another feather to his cap with Aiyaary but most importantly we should talk about Sidharth. The actor's last release Ittefaq helped him get over his boy-next-door image and with Aiyaary, we are sure he join the bandwagon of versatile actors.

As title of the movie is quite amusing, the director tried to explain its meaning in an interview with Mumbai Mirror. He said, ''Aiyaary has been a special project with a very exciting ensemble. ‘Aiyaary’ means the ultimate trickery. The word ‘Aiyaary’ fabulously sums up what a Soldier resorts to ultimately in the face of extreme crisis. His intelligence, sharpness and wit not only bedazzles his own troop but also earns him the respect of his enemies.''

The trailer keeps you on the edge of your seat, moreover its sharp background score doubles the delight of watching a thriller.

Slated to release on January 26, Aiyaary is expected to witness a tough competition from Akshay Kumar's PadMan, which is another much-awaited movie. Akshay and Neeraj have collaborated on many hit movies including Baby, Rustom, Special 26, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha.
