The ultimate battle of the comedians Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover has surely brought in troubles for “The Kapil Sharma Show”. While speculations are rife it will only air on Saturday this week, the ratings of the show have dipped drastically.
According to recent data released by BARC India, the impressions of Kapil’s show witnessed a sharp decrease for the current week (March 18-24).
When compared to last week’s 6 million impressions, the show recorded only 5.3 million impressions this week.
Furthermore, the YouTube views of the last episode, which had Raju Srivastav, Sunil Pal and Ahsaan Qureshi in place of Mashoor Gulati, was as low as 3,629,041. Also, there are 1,11,875 dislikes against a meagre 26,599 likes on the video.
“The Kapil Sharma Show” was popular because of Kapil Sharma’s brilliant team. Now that the popular characters such as Mashoor Gulati aka Sunil, Pushpa Nani aka Ali Asgar and Chaiwalla aka Chandan Prabhakar have reportedly quit the show, Kapil surely needs to do something quickly to retain his audience.
Recently, comedian Raju Srivastav revealed to a leading daily that he is not the replacement for Sunil as the makers are planning to introduce a new character for him adding that there are possibilities of him working with Sunil, if he returns.
He added that Kapil jokingly told him, “‘Do-do peg maareinge, sab sahi hojayega” on his patch up with Sunil.
Sunil, on the other hand, took to his Twitter account recentlly and talked about his immense love and respect for his fans.
Dr Mashoor Gulati also shared a lovely pic that showcased the strong bond that he shares with his son Mohan.
