Depression killed them: Deepika Padukone posts a message following Kate Spade, Anthony Bourdain suicides

Actress Deepika Padukone, who has been vocal about depression, recently reposted a message by her organisation, The Live Love Laugh Foundation. In it, the dimpled beauty talked about designer Kate Spade and chef Anthony Bourdain’s suicides saying that both of them didn’t take their own lives, but it was depression that killed them. Deepika has been creating awareness about mental illness urging people to come forward and speak about it.

The post reads, “Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain were pioneers in their respective fields. They both carved a niche for themselves by doing the unexpected. They not only changed the world of fashion and food forever but were also loved by millions across the world. To the outside world, they seemed 'happy'. They seemingly 'had it all'. Then how did they 'fall' into depression?”

Apart from her, there are many Bollywood celebs who have opened up about their battle with depression.

Talking about her personal life, speculations are doing the rounds that the lady is soon going to tie the knot with her beau Ranveer Singh. However, nothing official has been said on the same.

On the professional front, Deepika was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat alongside Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer. She will also star in Vishal Bhardwaj’s film that has Irrfan Khan on boards.
