In 91 constituencies across India, over 14.21 crore voters will decide the fate of 1,279 candidates in the first phase of 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

In terms of number of Lok Sabha seats, the first phase is third biggest among the seven phases in which the election will be conducted. More than 1.70 lakh polling booths set up across 20 states and Union Territories.

The general elections are scheduled to be held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May and on the same day the results will be declared.

Legislative Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim will be held simultaneously with the general elections.
