Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray offers prayers at Kaal Bhairav temple in Varanasi

Before filing his nomination papers, PM Narendra Modi will also visit Kaal Bhairav temple.

Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray

Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray, on Friday, offered prayers at Kaal Bhairav temple in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

Uddhav Thackeray is likely to accompany Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the filing of his nomination papers. Other big leaders like JDU president Nitish Kumar, Shiromani Akali Dal's Parkash Singh Badal and Lok Janshakti Party chief Ram Vilas Paswan will also accompany the PM. 

PM Narendra Modi will file his nomination papers at 11.30 am. However, before filing it, Modi will also visit Kaal Bhairav temple.

Varanasi will go to polls on May 19 in the last of the seven-phase.

The general election is currently being held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019 to constitute the 17th Lok Sabha. The counting of votes will be conducted on 23 May, and on the same day the results will be declared.

Legislative Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim will be held simultaneously with the general election.
