Polls held on 11th April for Tripura West Parliamentary constituency declared void: ECI

Election Commission of India 

The Election Commission of India (ECI), on Wednesday, said that the polls held on 11th April at 168 polling stations of the Tripura West Parliamentary constituency were declared void. 

Re-polls will be held on 12th May (sixth phase of voting) from 7 am to 5 pm, said the ECI, reported ANI.

To constitute the 17th Lok Sabha, the general election is currently being held in seven phases from 11 April to 19 May 2019. On 23 May, the counting of votes will be conducted and on the same day the results will be declared.

With the general election, Legislative Assembly elections in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim are being held simultaneously.
