Congress, the main opposition party in Telangana on Tuesday said it is ready to face the polls whenever they are held.
The statement has come amid speculation about the possibility of advancement of Legislative Assembly polls in the state. With Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's recent visit to Delhi, the speculation has gained ground.
Congress would form the next government in Telangana winning more than 75 seats, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N Uttam Kumar Reddy said after a meeting of the party's senior leaders, reported news agency PTI.

Polls in the state are scheduled to be held simultaneously with the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
Reddy said, next month, a committee would be appointed for selection of candidates in the polls and the main factors in the selection of candidates would be winning chances and social justice.
