According to Barclays Hurun India Rich List 2018, Delhi is home to as many as 163 out of 831 super rich Indians.
IT major HCL founder Shiv Nadar bags the top spot among the richest Delhiites. His net worth is Rs 37,400 crore.
Interestingly, two more members of the Nadar family are in the list-HCL CEO Roshni Nadar (ranked third) and her mother Kiran Nadar (ranked sixth) with an estimated wealth of Rs 31,400 crore and Rs 20,900 crore, respectively.
With a total wealth of Rs 37,100 crore, a close second on the top 10 list from Delhi is Vikram Lal (76) from Eicher Motors. He is the founder and former CEO of Eicher Motors, which makes the Royal Enfield motorbikes.
National capital’s 163 super rich are estimated to have a total wealth of Rs 6,78,400 crore.
Delhi is on the second spot after Mumbai which accounts for 233 names on the list.
The cumulative wealth of these 233 people is $719 billion.
The list was released on Tuesday.
