Barclays and Hurun India published the list of richest Indians on Tuesday. RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani topped the list for seventh consecutive year with a wealth of Rs 3,71,000 crore. The list consists of Indians having wealth of more than Rs 1000 crore. According to Barclays and Hurun India, there are 831 people in India with net worth more than Rs 1000 crores. 

Together, they control 25 per cent of India's total GDP. The number of first-generation entrepreneurs in the list of the richest people is also increasing rapidly, particularly those who have successful tech-start-up. Ritesh Agarwal, founder of Oyo, is the youngest member of the rich list at the age of 24. 95 years old chief of MDH, Dharam Pal Gulati is the senior most person in the list. 

Here are the top 10 richest Indians:

1. Mukesh Ambani 

With net worth of rs 3,71,000 crore Chairman and MD of Reliance Industries has topped the list for seventh consecutive year.

2.  SP Hinduja

The Chairman of the Hinduja Group came in the second spot with a net worth of Rs 1,59,000 crore.

3. Lakshmi Mittal

Lakshmi Mittal, Chairman and CEO of ArcelorMittal is the third richest Indian according to the Barclays and Hurun India survey with a net worth of Rs 1,14,500 crore.

4.  Azim Premji

Chairman of tech giant Wipro came in fourth position with a net worth of Rs 96,100 crore.

5. Dilip Shanghvi

Founder and MD of Sun Pharmaceuticals, Dilip Shangvi came in fifth position in the list with a net worth of Rs 89, 7000 crore.

6. Uday Kotak

Founder and Chairman of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Udak Kotak is next in the list with a net worth of Rs 78,600 crore.

7.  Cyrus S Poonawalla

Chairman of the Poonawalla group, Cyrus S Poonawalla occupied the seventh position with a net worth of Rs 73,000 crore.

8. Gautam Adani

Chairman of the Adani Group, Gautam Adani came in the eighth spot with a net worth of Rs 71,200 crore.

9. Cyrus Pallonji Mistry

Former Chairman of the Tata group, Cyrus Pallonji Mistry is next in the list with a net worth of Rs 69,400 crore.

10.  Shapoor Pallonji Mistry

Chairman and MD of the Shaporji Pallonji Group is the tenth top richest Indian with a net worth of Rs 69,400 crore.
