New Delhi: The 2013 Frankfurt auto show, brought us a number of new car and concept model presentations. Some were really interesting and some were crazy, from out-there concepts like Vauxhall's ‘condor-winged' Monza to down to Earth next-gen production vehicles like Volkswagen's e-Up! and e-Golf all-electric hatchback pairing. Here is a list of some of them:Brabus B63S 700 6X6It is a six-wheel drive monster off-roader that weighs a whopping 3,775kg. The vehicle is powered by a 700hp 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which delivers 708lb ft of torque and driving all six wheels means it can hurl its considerable bulk from 0-62mph in just 7.4 seconds. All that power is sent to all six wheels through an AMG seven-speed transmission, which can be manually shifted with paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.Smart Fourjoy The Smart Fourjoy lived up to pre-show billing as one of the strangest concept cars at this year's Frankfurt Auto Show. It is a car minus doors and a roof, sporting a boot that only holds a pair of helmets. This whimsical, not-for-sale design study from Daimler AG's Smart is intended to introduce design elements for a future forfour four-seat model.The ‘Nanuk' The ‘Nanuk' (Inuit for polar bear) is a jacked-up, mid-engined, two-seat off-road supercar powered by a 544hp V10 turbodiesel engine. The car can achieve 0-62 mph speed in just 3.8 seconds. Toyota Yaris Hybrid-R concept The car sports a 300hp 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbocharged race engine driving the front wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox. It also gets two 60hp electric motors. These drive a rear wheel each, making it four-wheel drive. This also has great implications for handling, as the motors can be braked individually to help cornering, or given a boost of torque to neutralise a slide.The super capacitor can instantly send energy to 60 hp motors located at each rear wheel. With "Track" mode engaged, the little Yaris Hybrid-R is good for a combined 420 hp in five second bursts — 120 hp from the electric motors at the wheels, and another 300 hp from a gasoline-powered 1.6 L turbocharged Toyota Global Race Engine, specifically created for motorsports.TwinRun concept The Twin'Run race car is built on a tubular chassis and is powered by a mid-engine V6 based on the Megane Trophy race car and features 320 hp. The 3.5-liter V6 is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox with limited slip differential while the concept car sports a well-balanced 43/57 weight distribution. Plenty of carbon fiber was used on the body to shave weight while the two-box architecture creates lift at high speeds.Elmiraj conceptCaddy's Elmiraj concept is a Coupe de Ville for the 21st century. It's powered by a 4.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8, delivering 500bhp and 500lb ft of torque, using technology pinched from the 2014 CTS V Sport.There are the vertical lights front and back, two functional vents in the car's bonnet to cool the V8, 22-inch aluminium wheels with ceramic brakes, and a four-seat interior with a single piece instrument panel extending across the full width of the car.Citroën CactusThe Citroen Cactus Concept hatchback, which hints at a new simple design direction for the brand, debuted at the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.One intriguing feature on the Cactus concept is "Airbumps," a non-scratch rubbery exterior surface that has been called the automotive equivalent of bubble wrap. Citroen said Airbumps is made up of air capsules that protect the body of the car and offer "personalization possibilities."The side and rear windows and the B-pillars of the concept have been removed to let showgoers get a better look at the interior.Mansory Ferrari F12 La RevoluzioneSwiss tuner Mansory is always worth a look at the motor show. To its standard 6.3-litre V12 Mansory has bolted a pair of turbos, upping power to a crazy 1,200hp. Garia Mansory EditionGermany company Mansory came out with Garia Mansory Edition – a fully carbonfibre golf cart with a teak dash and a fridge in the front. Porsche's 918 SpyderThe 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder, a hybrid, is the world's fastest production car.The heart of the 918 Spyder is a 4.6-liter V8, which is teamed with Porsche's PDK dual clutch transmission and two electric motors.One motor works with the V8 to spin the rear wheels, while a second motor powers the front wheels. Electricity comes from a 6.8-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack.
