New Delhi, March 3: Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd (NMIPL) reported its highest ever monthly sales in the country at at 5,371 units in February, registering an over two-fold jump over the corresponding period a year ago.
In the same month last year, the company had sold a total of 2,081 units, NMIPL said in a statement.
The company's compact car Micra recorded sales of 2,198 units, while sedan Sunny accounted for 3,130 units.
"I'm delighted to see Nissan achieve our highest ever monthly sales total in India. This result reflects the growing acceptance of Nissan cars amongst Indian customers and is something we want to build on," NMIPL Managing Director Kiminobu Tokuyama said.
