New Delhi: Automaker Honda will soon bring its all-new Honda Unicorn 160 in India. The bike will be equipped with high-end features and modern design. The motorcycle has already been dispatched to dealerships, indicating a near launch.

The new premium 160 cc bike is expected to replace the Honda CB Trigger which failed to create a stir in the market. The new model will be positioned above the Honda CB Unicorn which is soldiering on despite its age, and below the CBR150R.

Introduced in 2005, the Honda Unicorn, has remained popular in its segment due to its smooth engine, minimal maintenance cost, low fuel consumption and comfortable ergonomics. The success of CB Unicorn led Honda to launch a premium version in the form of the CB Dazzler which flopped. Of late, Honda has realized to get ahead in the 150 cc category, it needs to have Unicorn name.

As spotted by commuters, the Honda Unicorn 160 cc bike looks similar to the CB Trigger which could be axed. The new model sports muscular tank with shrouds that accommodates the 3-D Honda emblem. There are three fins on the side panels which look quite identical to the two fins offered on the CB Trigger. The pillion footrests are directly lifted from the Honda CB Trigger. The bike gets a full chain case. The seat panels look bigger, while the rear end is completely new.

The tail lights get all-new “H” design. Features like switch gear, handles, digital instrument cluster and others too resemble the siblings.

The Honda CB Unicorn 160 will be priced at a slight premium over the Trigger and will draw power from a new 160cc engine, producing around 14.5 BHP of power.
