New Delhi, March 10: Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd has said it would recall some XUV500 sport utility vehicles (SUVs) to replace certain parts.
“This is in keeping with its customer-centric approach as well as in compliance with the recently announced voluntary code on vehicle recall,” India's utility vehicle market leader said in a release on Friday.
The recall is meant for the XUV500s models manufactured in 2011 and 2012.
Earlier in December 2011, Tata Motors offered a free fix on more than 70,000 units of the Nano on instances of fire, but didn't term it a recall.
M&M will replace three parts—the fluid hose, the front power window units and the left wiper blade cover. The replacement will be free of cost for XUV500 customers who would be individually contacted by the company.
