New Delhi: Drug maker Lupin has entered into a marketing and distribution agreement with US-based Salix Pharmaceuticals Inc. to sell a range of Salix's specialty products in Canada.
The product list includes Relistor injection for the treatment of opioid-induced constipation in patients with advanced illness who are receiving palliative care and Zaxine tablets that prevents recurrence of overt hepatic encephalopathy that results from liver failure in adult patients.
As per the agreement, also has the option to exclusively sell other gastroenterology products in Salix's Canadian pipeline once approved by Health Canada, the drug regulator of that market.
