New Delhi: In India, Oppo is an underdog. You won't find its smartphones easily on shelves, or promoted with big-budget ads on TV. However, the Chinese firm is determined to take on premier league players – Samsung, Sony and HTC – by packing top-of-the-line specifications, interesting software, at a much lower price than other high-end manufacturers. The company has launched its flagship smartphone, the Find 7, in India at Rs 37,990. The Chinese handset maker also announced a ‘lite' variant of the Find 7, the Find 7a, which will cost Rs. 31,990.

At first glance, the style and build quality of the Oppo Find 7 looks premium. The smartphone is glossy, smooth and thin. It measures 152.6mm tall, 75mm wide, and 9.2mm thick. The design aesthetic of both the Find 7 and Find 5 are quite similar, but the Find 7 is a refined version. The Find 7 is slightly thicker than its predecessor, largely because of it housing a comparatively larger battery.

The Find 7 comes with pretty sturdy built, having two chamfered metal rims around the sides. Overall, the design is very basic yet appealing.

The front page has a 5.5-inch screen, with no branding or physical buttons visible. On the back you'll find a primary camera accompanied by a dual-LED flash, along with the loudspeaker grille at the bottom. While the volume rocker is one the right hand side, you'll find the power button on the left. On the top there is a 3.5mm headset port, and a charging port on the bottom. Unlike the Oppo N1, this one has a removable rear panel and a swappable battery. The Micro-SIM and microSD card slot sit alongside the battery.
