New Delhi: Swedish luxury car-maker Volvo Auto India on Wednesday launched an updated version of its S80 sedan in India, with price starting at Rs.41.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The sedan is available in two versions with both variants coming with diesel engines. There is no petrol engine on offer.
The base 2.0-litre 163bhp diesel D4 variant is priced at Rs. 41.35 lakh, while the top-end 2.4-litre 212bhp diesel D5 variant costs Rs. 44.80 lakh.
The new generation Volvo S80 comes with interesting tweaks including a smaller grille, new headlights with daytime-running lamps and revised front and rear bumpers. It gets new alloys as well.
The car also has pedestrian and cyclist detection feature with full auto brake, Volvo Auto India said in a statement. There's also also new equipment in the form of a new seven-inch touchscreen and in-car internet connectivity (by syncing via your mobile phone). The digital instrument cluster can be customised, like the one in the V40, to display information regarding fuel efficiency and performance.
Plus, like all Volvos, the S80 will continue to come loaded to the gills with safety kit.
