Under the 'SD Kids' programme, parents can register on Snapdeal with their child's name and birth date to receive these offers.

"We will monitor the child's growth and send out relevant offers, promotions information across various kids' relevant categories which will change with their age," Snapdeal AVP (Home) Saurabh Bansal told PTI.

There will be targeted mailers sent to them on a regular basis, he added.

Citing an example, Bansal said a six-month old baby will have different requirements than a baby who is one-year old.

"We will keep track of this change and suggest new products that the parents need for the baby. This will also help new parents, who are at times confused about what products to buy. They can also trust that the quality and price of the products," he added.

Bansal said currently the offers are related to toys but over the next few weeks, it will be expanded to apparel, rides and others.

The programme was launched last week and 300 children have already been registered for the programme.
"We are maintaining a database of their birthdays and favourite products. Our target to increase this base to 10,000 by end of this quarter," Bansal said.
