New Delhi: Instant messaging app, Nimbuzz, which also allows the users to make calls and video calls, has partnered with South Korean smartphone maker LG. The partnership will enable users to make 100 minutes of free international calls to the US on purchasing LG's latest L-Series 3 smartphones. As part of the alliance the series of smartphones will come preloaded with Nimbuzz.
"Voice calling is fast becoming an internet based service. We are extremely excited about our association with Nimbuzz on our latest Android KitKat OS based L-Series III lineup. Their commitment to extending an affordable international calling platform to users will draw maximum value for LG and Nimbuzz. The growing popularity of affordable smartphones from industry players like LG and the increasing adoption of Wi Fi /3G networks will only accelerate this technological shift," added Amit Gujral, Marketing Head LG Mobiles, India on the partnership of LG and Nimbuzz.
The company claims to have over 150 million users globally and is adding over 2.10 lakh new registrations each day. It has a user footprint of more than 200 countries.
The Nimbuzz app is available to download from Google Play, App Store, and Windows Phone Store.
