New Delhi: Lenovo is all set to heat up the high-end phablet segment in India by launching the Vibe Z at Rs 35,999. This is now the second cheapest Snapdragon 800-powered smartphone in the market and its closest competitor is Google Nexus 5. The handset, which made its debut at CES 2014, packs premium specs in a design that's thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Note 3.
The phone features a 5.5-inch, 1920 x 1080 Full HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that comes with a pixel density of 400ppi. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Measuring 0.31 inches thick and weighing 147 grams, the Lenovo Vibe Z is slim and light for a phablet. In contrast, Samsung's 5.7-inch Galaxy Note 3 measures 0.33 inches thick and weighs 168 grams.
