Chinese smartphone-maker Xiaomi has today put the Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime on sale starting 12noon. Both the devices, priced at Rs 6,999 and Rs 8,999, respectively, will be available on the company’s official website mi.com and on Flipkart.
This is the second sale for Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime. The company has not opted for a flash sale model on these phones this time.
According to the company, Xiaomi had created history in India by selling over 90,000 units in the flash sale in just eight minutes on August 9.
“Redmi3S Prime’s 1st sale set new records for Mi India: 90k+ units sold out on open sale & best ever online open sale for @Flipkart,” Hugo Barra, the Global Vice-President at Xiaomi Technology, had tweeted about the first sale on August 10.
Both devices are ‘Made in India’ smartphones, Xiaomi has said.
The Redmi 3S comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. It is priced at Rs 6,999.
The Redmi 3S Prime includes 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage and a fingerprint sensor. The Prime variant costs Rs 8,999.
Both come with 5-inch HD display, 13MP rear snapper, 5MP front-facing camera, Android Marshmallow and 4100mAh battery. The device packs in Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor and memory expandable up to 128GB.
While the Redmi 3S is a dual-SIM phone, its second SIM is hybrid, which can either accommodate a second SIM or a microSD card up to 128 GB.
The phone comes in three colours - dark grey, gold, and silver (for the Redmi 3S Prime).
