Maharashtra elections: Stalemate continues between Shiv Sena and BJP over seat-sharing
Seat-sharing talks between the two major political alliances in Maharashtra—the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Shiv Sena on the one hand and the ruling Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on the other—remained deadlocked on Sunday ahead of Assembly elections due on 15 October. Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thacker
