According to HMD Global Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas, the Nokia 9 just doesn't seem ready for the 2018 launch, so the company could be planning to launch this device at MWC 2019.

A tweet by Nokia Anew, which is based out of Russia, HMD Global plans to cancel the launch of Nokia 9 this year. Other reports have pointed that the new Nokia 9 would feature a five-camera setup on the back and would be backed by a Snapdragon 845 SoC. Nokia was expected to launch a flagship for 2018 as the Nokia 8 Sirocco, which was launched this year comes with last years processor.

Reports point to the fact that Nokia 8 Sirocco was meant to be a 2017 flagship but got launched this year at MWC 2018 and considering what's happening now, looks like Nokia 9 would feature a similar delay.

Considering previous leaks, Nokia 9 was expected to run on Android Pie and was rumoured to come with an in-display fingerprint sensor, which would be the first one from Nokia's arsenal. For the camera optics, it was rumoured to come with a 41MP, a 20MP and a 9.7MP sensor, backed with 4X optical zoom, Xenon and LED flash modules.
