Huawei's Honor brand has announced the world’s first smartphone with a “punch hole” display and a 48MP rear-facing camera called the Honor View 20. The phone will be a successor to the Honor V10 that launched last year. This phone is touted to be the world’s first smartphone with in-display camera that was announced before Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A8s with a similar display. The company calls this the All-View display as it has a 4.5mm cut out on the front for the camera sensor. Honor says that even the landscape mode won't hinder the visual experience.

The company claims that this would be the first phone to come with a 48 Megapixel camera at the back. The phone comes with a Sony IMX586 CMOS sensor with 48 Megapixel resolution along with 0.8-micron pixel size. Powering the phone is the Kirin 980 SoC, which is the same processor that was used in Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20. Other than this, the View 20 comes with "Link Turbo" technology which is an AI-powered feature that allows simultaneous downloading via 4G and Wi-Fi networks.

Honor will be revealing other details of the phone, including the price on 26th December and will be launched globally on 22nd January at an event in Paris, France.
