Rome, Dec 15: A meeting designed to solve problems in top-level Italian football stemming from the 2006 match-fixing scandal hasn't had much success.

Among those present at the so-called "table of peace" Wednesday were Italian football federation president Giancarlo Abete and the heads of Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, Napoli and Fiorentina.

Italian Olympic Committee president Giovanni Petrucci, who led the meeting, says that "no forward steps were taken"

Petrucci adds that "I don't consider it a failure. ... Even without reaching any results we'll try to look forward. It was supposed to ease a wound that is still open. It didn't work and that's it."

The 2006 title was taken away from Juventus and awarded to Inter, and Juventus is still requesting that it be stripped from Inter.
