Rome, Oct 18: The Italian sports arbitration court will hear Atalanta's appeal against a six-point Serie A deduction for match-fixing on Oct. 24.

Atalanta started the Serie A season with a six-point penalty for its role in an Italian match-fixing scandal, while its captain Cristiano Doni was banned for three and a half years.

Doni's appeal will be held on the same day at the Tribunale Nazionale di Arbitrato per lo Sport in Rome.

Atalanta and Doni both had their appeals rejected by the Italian football federation court in August, while Atalanta defender Thomas Manfredini was cleared of his three-year ban.

Atalanta has five points from six games—including the points deducted—to sit seven points behind leader Juventus.
