New Delhi: Taunting on the national selectors after England lost the ODI series to India in a pathetic manner, ex cricketer Kevin Pietersen said, “So let's pick the same team for SL and for the tri-series IN AUS & WC in Aus and lose. Then change after that! I cannot believe it!”

Former dashing England batsmen Kevin Pietersen who invited criticism for his on and out field behaviour, took to twitter demanding necessary changes in squad after England's humiliating defeat against India in fourth ODI at Edgbaston on Tuesday and losing four consecutive ODI series just before the World Cup next year.

Pietersen also said that the team's notion of lifting the maiden World Championship title next year is far away from their reach. With the current team one just cannot think about England winning the world cup.

He also questioned Alastair Cook's captaincy who has made it clear that he is not stepping down as ODI captain in the wake of his side's one-day series defeat against India.

“I will be the captain of this team in the World Cup if I'm allowed to be. I don't have a say on selection but I've captained for three-and-a-half years with the goal to try to win the World Cup in Australia.” “I know that seems a bit far-fetched at the moment when we're losing games of cricket but there are a lot of really good players in that change room”, Cook added.

Frustrated by yesterday's match he tweeted to his followers saying that he cannot believe that England players are happy to accept a failure which is months away. Apart from this he also tweeted his playing XI for England in WC including Alex Hales, Jason Roy, Moeen Ali, Bopara, Morgan(c), Rikkie Clarke, Buttler, Rashid, Broad, Anderson, Finn and asked whether could name a better ODI team than this.

He insisted that more number of England players should play IPL. He further tweeted, “You are seeing a young Indian side here in which the players are being schooled every year in the IPL...” He also said that Lalit Modi did a formidable job that made this young Team India.
