New Delhi: The sixth edition of the World T20 cricket tournament will kick off in Nagpur today with two qualifying matches being played between associate nations.

13th-ranked Zimbabwe and 14th-ranked Hong Kong from Group B will clash at 3 p.m. in the opening match while  9th-ranked Afghanistan will take on 11th-ranked Scotland  at the same venue later in the evening at 7.30 p.m.

The second round of the tournament, known as Super 10, will begin on 15th March, also in Nagpur, when India go head to head with New Zealand in Group B. The other teams in Group B are Pakistan and Australia. They will be joined by the qualifying team.

The sides in Group A are: South Africa, England, the West Indies, and Sri Lanka. They will also be joined by the qualifying team.

The final of this edition of World T20 will be played at the Eden Gardens on 3rd April. This is the first time India is hosting World T20 tournament.

India won the inaugural edition of this Tournament in South Africa in 2007, and finished runner-up in Bangladesh two years ago.

MS Dhoni's side is entering World T20 as the number one T20 side after lifting Asia Cup in Mirpur.
