Five on-field comments by M S Dhoni that show captain cool's calculative side

New Delhi: India is going through a torrid tour of Australia, trailing the five-match one day series 4-0.But loosing a match never affects or demoralise MS Dhoni to play a role of captain as he always charge up his teammates with some exciting and motivational lines.Known for his calm demeanour on the field, Indian captain MS Dhoni always wants to get things done smartly. While we never see him losing his cool on the field, there have been situations where Dhoni was forced to show a little aggression towards his teammates. Dhoni's comments came as embarrassment for some and motivation for others. However, it also showed that Dhoni was calculative and could sense and tell what the batsman was about to attempt next.Here are some interesting on-field comments by Dhoni:1- Jitna bola hai utna kar, bowler mat bannIt was a match against England when Virat Kohli came to bowl as India was playing only four bowlers. In his first over, Kohli managed to get Kevin Peterson with two consecutive Yorkers.Kohli, after getting the wicket of Peterson, got excited and started trying different variations which included wide balls and byes as well.Dhoni then walked up to Kohli and said: “Jitna bola hai utna kar, bowler mat bann” (Do what you are being told, don't try to be a bowler).2- Pehli ball thoda tez daalna, ye pehli hi ball par aage badhegaIndia was playing against Australia in Mohali in 2013. Australia was in a good position and Michael Clarke had just come to the field. Dhoni knew that Clarke was good at playing spin and anticipated that Clarke would hit his first ball hard.He told Ravindra Jadeja at the bowling end, “Pehli ball thoda tez daalna, ye pehli hi ball par aage badhega” (bowl the first one faster, he will charge down the wicket on the very first ball itself).Jadeja followed Dhoni's instructions and delivered the ball at a pace that Clarke could not judge and missed the ball. Of course, Dhoni didn't miss the chance and Clarke was stumped out.3- Agar chauka gaya toh mera risk hai, tu bindaas daal. Tujhe agar ek fielder aur chahiye toh mai bula lunga. Mujhe koi problem nahi haiIn a match against Australia, Ishant Sharma was having a bad day and was pitching the ball short and wide.Dhoni observed Ishant's bowling and came up to him saying, “Agar chauka gaya to mera risk hai, tu bindaas daal. Tujhe agar ek fielder aur chahiye toh mai bula lunga. Mujhe koi problem nahi hai” (If the ball runs for a four, it's my responsibility and if you need an extra fielder, I will provide that too!).Captain cool assured Ishant that he should ball whatever way he feels is best and not worry about conceding runs.4- Thoda dheere daal, ek chhakka khaake dikhaThese words may sound somewhat crazy in an international match and that too in the T20 World Cup. On the 28th Match of the World Cup against Austrailia, Dhoni's exact words were, “Thoda dheere daal, ek chhakka khaake dikha'' (Give an easy delivery, get hit for a six).Jadeja was clueless but did not bowl a slower one. The batsman was dismissed while attempting to hit a six.5- Sone ka time milegaIn a test match against the Aussies, players were acting a little lazy on the field. Sensing this, Dhoni let out these magical words that shook and woke them up to action. “Sone ka time milega,” (You all we get time to sleep) he says.But these words were somewhat an embarrassment for the players.
