Robin Uthappa's unbeaten 22-ball 52 and Rahul Dravid's 35-ball 52 led Royal Challengers Bangalore to an emphatic seven-wicket win over Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday night  in Bangalore.

Rahul Dravid smashed a half-century off 33 balls before Angelo Mathews had him caught by Ajit Agarkar at sweeper-cover.

Dravid's 52-run knock came off 35 balls and was studded with 2 sixes and 5 fours. He looked well-set to lead Bangalore to victory before he was done in by a slower delivery by Mathews.

Dravid's dismissal came soon after Sridharan Sriram (27) edged a Ashok Dinda delivery onto his stumps.

Dravid and Sriram added 50 runs for the second wicket off 31 balls to revive Bangalore's run chase in their IPL clash against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Jacques Kallis registered his lowest score in IPL 3 when Chris Gayle took a fumbling catch at first slip to give Dinda his first wicket.

Kallis, who was dropped by Sourav Ganguly when he was yet to get off the mark,

Vinay Kumar took three wickets for Royal Challengers Bangalore but Brendon McCullum's 45, Chris Gayle's 34 and captain Sourav Ganguly's 33 took Kolkata Knight Riders to 160/9.

Cheteshwar Pujara hit 2 sixes in his 8-ball 16 before he was run out in the 19th over.

Bangalore captain Anil Kumble had Brendon McCullum caught by Vinay at fine leg to reduce Kolkata to 134/5.

McCullum hit 2 sixes and 5 fours in his 45-run knock that came off 36 balls.

In the next over, Vinay took another catch to dismiss Wriddhiman Saha off Dale Steyn.

Kolkata then seemed to have pushed the self-destruction button when they lost three wickets in three overs for four runs.

Vinay took his first wicket when Kumble took a good running catch at square leg to dismiss his counterpart Sourav Ganguly (33) as Kolkata lost their second wicket with 103 runs on the board.

In the next over, Jacques Kallis had Manoj Tiwary (0) caught by Cameron White at backward point and in the next over, Vinay struck again when he had Angelo Mathews (1) caught by Ross Taylor at sweeper-cover.

Kallis had Chris Gayle caught by Rahul Dravid in the covers after the big-hitting batsman gave Kolkata a fiery start.

Kallis gave Bangalore the much-needed breakthrough after Gayle smashed 34 runs off 15 balls with the help of a six and 6 fours. Gayle and Sourav Ganguly brought up the Kolkata 50 in the fifth over after Kumble won the toss and elected to bowl.

Bangalore have dropped Manish Pandey for Sridharan Sriram and Kolkata have brought in Ishant Sharma ahead of Iqbal Abdulla.
