Jhabua: Madhya Pradesh police on Tuesday registered an FIR against the state Congress president Arun Yadav, its chief spokesman K K Mishra and office secretary Sanjay Shrivastava for allegedly calling the main accused of Petlawad explosion case, Rajendra Kasawa, a member of RSS.

The FIR was registered at Petlawad police station under sections 469 (forgery to harm reputation) and 500 (defamation) of the Indian Penal Code and also under the Information Technology Act, on the complaint of RSS worker Kishore Soni.

Soni alleged that the state Congress released a morphed photo of Kasawa showing him in an RSS uniform with the intention of defaming the organisation.

Meanwhile, Congress spokesman said the party will stage a protest in Jhabua tomorrow demanding registration of FIR against the state BJP president Nandkumar Singh Chouhan for describing Kasawa as a friend of former Union Minister and former MP of Ratlam-Jhabua, Kantilal Bhuria.

At least 89 people were killed and nearly 100 injured after a massive blast caused by mining explosives stored in a building ripped through a crowded area in Petlawad town in Jhabua district three days ago.
