Paswan returns to NDA after 12 years, LJP gets 7 seats in Bihar

New Delhi: Lok Janshakti Party supremo Ramvilas Paswan returned to BJP-led National Democratic Alliance after 12 years, as BJP president Rajnath Singh announced an alliance between BJP and LJP in Bihar.Paswan will meet senior BJP

LJP will contest seven seats for Lok Sabha from Bihar.

The seats are : Hajipur (Ramvilas Paswan), Jamui (Chirag Paswan), Samastipur (Ramchandra Paswan), Vaishali (former don Rama Singh), Munger - Chandan Kumar (former don Surajbhan Singh's brother), Khagaria and Nalanda.

Paswan had left the Vajpayee government and NDA soon after the 2002 Gujarat riots, and had joined hands with Congress.

But with both the Congress and RJD giving Paswan's party the short shrift in the poll stakes in Bihar, Paswan decided to return to NDA today.  

Said Ramchandra Paswan, his brother: "We think Narendra Modi is 100 per cent secular."
