Ramdeora (Rajasthan), Sep 17 :  Ahead of the visit of an all-party delegation to Jammu and Kashmir, LJP President Ram Vilas Paswan on Friday asked for a judicial enquiry into the recent deaths in the state and compensation to the families of those killed.

"A judicial enquiry should be instituted to probe the recent killings. The circumstances leading to each death should be established and responsibility fixed," the Rajya Sabha MP, who will be visiting the state as part of the delegation, told PTI.

Paswan, who was here to offer prayers at a temple and a mazar which co-exist, also asked the government to give Rs 25 lakh each to the family of those killed in the violence and a government job to every family in Kashmir "to end their alienation".

"One member from each family should be given a government job, either in the state or outside it, to end their alienation," he said.

Paswan said the onus was on both the central and the state governments to deal with the developments in the state.

"The issue is a sensitive one and it should not be left to the state government alone to handle the situation.

"Central government should also share the responsibility. It is a complex problem and a sensitive issue. Both the central and the state government have equal responsibility," he added. PTI
