Nitish Kumar hates Prime Minister Modi, can go to any extent: BJP leader Sushil Modi

Former Bihar Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi was the first leader to appear in India TV's special programme on Bihar elections today.

Sushil  Modi said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has so much of hatred for Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he can go to any extent to settle scores with him.

“ Nitish Kumar hates Narendra Modi. He can go to any extent because of his dislike for PM Modi. If he can join hands with Lalu Prasad then he can do anything,” Sushil Modi said.

Sushil Modi asserted that Nitish Kumar will have to answer a few tough questions in these elections.

“ Nitish Kumar will have to tell people why did he betray BJP? Why did he join hands with Lalu Prasad? Why did he insult Jitan Ram Manjhi, a dalit leader, by dethroning him from CM post?” Sushil Modi said.

Sushil Modi said that Bihar witnessed development as long as BJP was a partner in the government.“You can compare growth during first 7.5 years of NDA rule in Bihar with 2 years of Nitish rule. The focus has definitely shifted away from development. Bihar achieved economic growth because of hard work of BJP ministers,” Sushil Modi added.

Former Bihar Dy CM underlined the fact that a BJP led govt is required in Bihar if Rs 1.65 lakh crore package announced by PM Modi has to be properly utilized.

“ If grand-alliance comes to power they would create hurdles because they would not like PM Modi to get the credit for this package. Therefore, it's important for the people of the state to elect a BJP led govt in upcoming Assembly elections,” Sushil Modi said.

When asked to explain why the BJP didn't break the alliance with Nitish Kumar if they were so hurt by the cancellation of dinner in 2010, Sushil Modi said that it was the fear of the return of Jungle Raj that prevented the party from walking out of the alliance.

Sushil Modi sidestepped the question on who would be CM candidate in case NDA emerges victorious in these elections. He pointed out that party has around a dozen capable leaders for this post and whoever is chosen by the party high command will become the CM and that he would extend all cooperation to the new CM.

He also rejected the charge that actor-turned politician Shatrughan Sinha was unhappy with BJP because of him.“ I am a big fan of Shatrughan Sinha and he has not said anything against me on record and I won't react to anything that has been said off the record,” Sushil Modi said.

Sushil Modi exhorted the people of Bihar to vote for BJP alliance by reminding them of BJP's election slogans like Sarkar badalyie Bihar Badaliye, Abki baar BJP sarkar, Badaliye Bihar badaliye sarkar.
