Are you making use of the toll free number through which people have to just give a miss call to be a member of the BJP? It is our job to worry about the people. All you party workers deserve endless praise. I want to thank you all.

I will make such arrangements that Bangladeshis, who infiltrate into Assam and trouble you, are pushed out. I left home to serve my motherland. And the land of Assam is also my mother.

When banks were liberalized then it was said that poor will benefit through it. But did you ever see a poor person in banks. We made it possible. No matter what tricks people play, the government has changed in Delhi. These rebel must know that we are here to serve the nation. We wont tolerate violence be it in Assam or North east. They must have got away with it earlier but now law will take control.

12:54 pm- Modi: I am amazed to see that BJP workers have been able to organize such a huge event in Assam. When I had gone to Fiji, I had been asked to give some time to BJP workers. I refused as I had tight schedule. 5 days prior to the planned meeting, I gave my consent. And within this span of 5 days, BJP workers were able to organize such a big event. Party workers are our strength. We do not work on the basis of caste, religion, creed.

I also learnt that some workers were injured while trying to come here. I am sorry for this too. I want to ask you something. Will you obey me? Please don't rush after the event. If you get hurt, it will hurt my heart. Secondly don't leave behind any garbage. Leave the venue clean.

Earlier a controversy had erupted over the venue, the Sarusajai Sports Complex.
On Friday, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi had directed the state Sports and Youth Welfare Department not to allow any "non-sporting activity" at the Sarusajai Sports Complex. BJP had taken strong objection to this directive and had pointed out that the same venue was used for the wedding function of the Chief Minister.
Bijoya Chakraborty, BJP national Vice-President and Guwahati Member of Parliament, had said, "Non-sporting events have taken place in the stadium. Tarun Gogoi's son's wedding reception was held in the stadium (last year). Gogoi had addressed a Children's Day function there recently".
On Friday evening,however, the state government issued a statement, clarifying that it had already given permission for the meeting.
