New Delhi: Amid the high voltage controversy over Janata Dal United chief Sharad Yadav's derogatory comments on the skin ton of South Indian women, his daughter Suhasini Bundela has come out to defend the veteran leader's stand.

Suhaisini, during an interaction with a TV news channel, said that her father has not spoken anything wrong and thus he will not apologize.

Noticeably, Sharad Yadav sparked a controversy on March 13 when he made a sexist comment on the dusky complexion of south Indian women during a debate on the government's Insurance Bill.

"The women of the south are dark but they are as beautiful as their bodies...We don't see it here. They know dance," said Yadav without thinking of the aftermath of the comment.

Post his comments, male members of the parliament were seen bursting into laughter while  leaving the women parliamentarians in dumbstruck situation.

While the JDU leader not only remained unapologetic but also made a sexist ad hominem directly aimed at HRD minister Smriti Irani in Parliament on Monday as he put up the issue in Parliament again, saying he was ready for a debate on the issue.
