Faridabad: Calling for a non-Jat chief minister in Haryana, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati today said her party, if voted to power, will bring a non-Jat chief minister in the state.

Addressing a rally at Dussehra maidan here ahead of October 15 Assembly elections in Haryana, she said BSP, if voted to power, will break a tradition of Jat chief ministers in the state.

The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said that by doing so the BSP will pay respect to every section of society (sarv samaj).

BSP's chief minister candidate in Haryana, Arvind Sharma also addressed the rally.

Haryana is set to face Assembly polls on October 15.
