New Delhi: Arvind Kejriwal, the ninth Chief Minister of Delhi and Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood megastar, have found a connection to bond over. The link between the two is Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Big B's father and a renowned poet.

Kejriwal is an ardent fan of Harivansh ji's poetry and has often been heard singing his couplets. In a radio ad posted after the win, Kejriwal sang a few lines from one of the poems of Harivansh Bachchan. After that, Amitabh posted the poem in form of a picture on his Twitter account on Thursday.

Before that, congratulating Arvind Kejriwal on his win in the assembly elections, Sr. Bachchan tweeted, “15th year of 3rd Millennium...15th year of 21st Century...5th year of 202 decade...Happy 2015 !! Amazing contribution by IRS (sic) officer!"

Though Big B did not name Kejriwal, it was clearly a congratulatory message to him.

After Kejriwal resigned from his post as Delhi CM last year, he was completely written off by the media. AAP's significant defeat during the Lok Sabha Polls was a clear indicator. But he bounced back with a firm dedication and conviction, winning the elections with a thumping majority. A couplet from Harivansh ji's poem says, “Koshish karne waalon ki kabhi hair nahin hoti"(Those who try never fail), befitting Kejriwal's fight to win back Delhi's heart.

In the radio ad after his win, Kejrwiwal takes the line from Harivansh's poem, “Nanhi cheenti jab daana lekar chalti hai, chadhti deewaron par, sau baar phisalti hai/Man ka vishwas ragon mien saahas bharta hai, chadhkar girna, girkar chadhna na akharta hai/Aakhir uski mehnat kabhi bekaar nahin hoti/Koshish karne waalon ki kabhi hair nahin hoti".
