India TV- C Voter Opinion poll: Modi to get two-thirds majority in Gujarat

New Delhi, Dec 4: An opinion poll conducted by India TV in association with C Voter has predicted a comfortable victory for Narendra Modi led BJP in Gujarat assembly polls. Modi is expected to get

Out of a total of 182 seats, BJP is expected to register victory in 121 assembly constituencies. The opinion pol indicates a gain of 4 seats for BJP compared to last time. In 2007 assembly elections, BJP had won 117 seats.



The main opposition party, Congress, is expected to emerge victorious in 54 seats. It means Congress will lose 5 seats compared to last time. In the outgoing assembly, Congress has 59 seats. Others are expected to get 7 seats. It means others will gain one more seat compared to last time.



In terms of vote percentage, BJP is expected to get 48 percent of total votes, Congress 38 percent and others 14 percent.



The opinion poll has also come up with region specific projections. Gujarat has been divided into four regions – North Gujarat, South Gujarat, Central Gujarat and Saurashtra.
