AIADMK worker dies after hearing Jayalalitha is not becoming CM, wife commits suicide

Chennai: Jayalalitha condoled the death of a Madurai-based partyfunctionary who died of heart attack following the spread of"false news" of her not becoming chief minister and alleged suicide of his wife after she was unable to bear the loss.

She appealed to the party cadres not to take such extrememeasures at a time when "victory celebrations" were to be held.
