Organisers of the event, estimate that more than 106,000 people were present at this year’s event.

During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the country spend a month fasting from dawn until dusk.

The Eid celebration was organised by Green Lane Masjid and Community Centre, which is now in its seventh year.

A spokesperson for the Masjid said: ‘This celebration is one of the most important in the Islamic religious calendar and it’s an opportunity for us all to come together in peace and unity.
