  • December 29 marks the birth of one of the most iconic heroes of the Hindi film industry, Rajesh Khanna. The star who made his debut in 1966 with ‘Aakhri Khat’ was termed as the first superstar of the Indian cinema. The actor died of cancer on July 18, 2012. On Kaka’s birthday here are five unforgettable songs that the star has given to Bollywood.

  • ‘Mere Sapno Ki Rani’ became one of the popular songs of 1969. It was from ‘Aradhana’ and featured Rajesh Khanna with Sharmila Tagore. The song was crooned by Kishore Kumar.

  • ‘Yeh Reshmi Zulfein’ from the film ‘Do Raaste’ is still remembered for its melody. The song was sung by Mohammed Rafi and featured Mumtaz opposite the star.
