New Delhi: As we hear the word “Beach”, our mind starts creating the glimpse of long stretches of pure, chaste sand escorting to the tranquil turquoise water. But, are the Beaches really that fascinating as we imagine and see in movies? Well, the answer is “NO”. You might get shock but it is true that there are plenty of beaches in the world that are a graveyard for your summer vacations. Here we have listed 10 such beaches which are extremely contradictory to the ideal of “Beaches”. No doubt, you would hate to visit these in your entire life. Take a look.Haina Beach - Dominican RepublicPopularly known as “Dominican Chernobyl”, the Haina Beach is a poor destination for beach lovers. To shock you, the beach is counted among the 10 most polluted beaches on the planet owing to the heavy amount of lead and battery acid that are being disposed here. Besides lowering the environment beauty, the pollution and toxic waste has caused severe eye problems, seizures and learning deficiencies among local children.Maho Beach - Saint Martin, Caribbean More than a beach it is a plane-spotting paradise in West Indies. Being located adjacent to the Princess Juliana International Airport, the sunbathers at Maho Becah experience regular disturbance due to low-flying aircrafts. With runway length as short as 2,180 meters, we can see the incoming aircrafts almost gliding at the opening end of runway whereas at the time of take off a jet blast can knock you away if you have not find a safe corner for yourself. The beach has “Warning Signs” depicting risk of injury and possible death due to strong winds. So go at your own risk. Chow Patty Beach - Mumbai, India If you don't mind swimming alongside cow manure, then you can once visit Chow Patty Beach for your summer holidays. Also, don't get amused if you see cows traveling in large numbers all around, they are considered “holy” here. Don't get scared if they come close to you, this flock will not take away your beach stuff and belongings, but will just accompany you on the seaside.Port Phillip Bay – Melbourne, Australia Port Phillip Bay is not only one beach but a meeting point of more than 300 storm water drains that empty into the bay. Owing to this water has turned discolored, smelly and contains elevated bacterial counts. The sight of lifeguards collecting broken glasses, needles, trash and worse is common here. However, you can go fancy and enter the water within a cage… Else you have no option but to face the sharks all along from April till September. Repulse Bay - Hong Kong Looking for idyllist beach? Repulse Bay is the perfect choice. Located in the most expensive housing areas of Hong Kong, this beach is as peaceful as you can imagine. But don't expect anything except silence from here. The white sand which used to be the prime attribute of this beach has turned sad and grey color due to the street run off. Moreover, the ocean water too has become polluted with dumping of liposuction fat. But with merely 10 metres standing room from waters edge, it is hard to find a comfortable place for you and forget about experiencing the beauty. Interestingly, there is only one just one toilet block for 10,000 people who visit here. Now, is there any need to tell you about the water you are going to swim in….??Kuta Beach – BaliPopular as surf mecca, the Kuta Beach in Bali is a disappointment for the beach lovers and surfers. Owing to the increasing coastal development and malfunctioning of waste management system, a large amount of litter is being washed on the beach every day. Well don't go by the picture illustration, as the reality behind the scene is quite shocking. So a thorough background check is recommended before you jump in here….!!
