Federal Bureau of Investigation is worried about an old man in his 60s or 70s, who has committed a bank robbery for the tenth time.
The so-called Geezer Bandit robbed the US Bank in the 14800 block of Pomerado Road in Poway, which is located in an Albertson's grocery store, according to FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth.
The Geezer Bandit was last at work on May 11, pulling a job on the same block as his first bank heist.
Investigators said a man believed to be in his 60s or 70s is responsible for at least 10 bank robberies around the county since last August.
“He is very quiet," Foxworth said. "[He] approaches the teller; oftentimes other employees and customers don't even know what's happening.”
While investigators are trying to identify the elusive bandit, hundreds of Facebook fans are now following his every move.
He has two Facebook pages, between them almost 2,200 fans as of Monday night. One post reads, “Go Geezer!” A
Another reads, “Catch the geezer already!”
The online pages are full of photos, links to news articles, even videos. One YouTube clip even advertises a mask for sale that resembles the elderly bank robber.
The FBI said they are looking into the Facebook pages. It's unknown whether he started the pages himself.
