Michelle Obama tweets a Valentine's Day love note to Barack

New Delhi: President Obama may be thousand of miles away from his wife this Valentine's Day, but first lady Michelle Obama is sending her love through the Twitterverse. Obama tweeted her Valentine's Day message to the president as he made his way to California for a not-so-romantic retreat with King Abdullah II of Jordan. “Hey Barack, I'll always be your valentine! #HappyValentinesDay -mo,” Obama tweeted, signing her initials to signal a tweet she composed herself. Last week, in an interview with Univision's Enrique Santos Show, FLOTUS hinted that after all these years of marriage, this Valentine's Day would be a smaller affair. “This year we'll probably low-key it in the White House,” she said. “I just had a wonderful big birthday party and I, you know, I think he's done his part to show me how much he loves me so… he's off the hook this year.” Barack Obama tweeted: Here's the truth: @MichelleObama is still the best Valentine. Obama then sent her message to her husband and distinguished it from those written by her team by signing her initials at the end.'Hey Barack, I'll always be your valentine! #HappyValentinesDay -mo,' she wrote. She attached a collage of the couple sharing a light moment and Obama posted a picture of him kissing her on the cheek. The Obama's virtual exchanges may be the closest they get to sharing some special moments together since the President jetted off to a House Democrats conference in Maryland this morning. In his opening remarks at the conference, he gave a personal Valentine's Day shout out to Nancy Pelosi, who he called 'our fearless leader'. He then returned to Andrews Air Force Base and boarded Air Force One with the Californian delegation- Congressman Jim Costa and Senators Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer- before heading out on a cross-country flight to Fresno for dinner with King Abdullah II of Jordan. A lack of pomp and circumstance around Valentine's Day this year comes as little surprise since Mrs Obama already let him off the hook. The media jury ruled that Obama's Valentine tweet didn't have a 'personal' sign off, unlike Michelle's.
