Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf, who now heads All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), on Monday expressed his willingness to join hands with cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan for the betterment of the country.

According to a report in The Nation, Musharraf predicted that an alliance between his party and Imran Khan’s PTI can bring about change in Pakistan.

“My party and Imran Khan’s party has the capability to bring due change in the country,” Musharraff said.

“For national interest, I can be ally of PTI chairman and his party,” he added.

Musharraf’s statement assumes significance as the incumbent Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif  is facing  tremendous pressure in Panama leaks and both Imran Khan and Pervez Musharraf are asking for stringent punishment for culprits in this case.
