Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 16 : West Bengal governor and former National Security Adviser M K Narayanan has played down Wikileaks revelation that the U.S. Embassy in Delhi saw a 'Keralite mafia' being active in Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's Office.
'We are not mafia. We need not listen to what Americans say', Narayanan told a Malayalam news channel at Sabarimala.
Narayanan was in Sabarimala last evening to offer worship at the hillshrine of Lord Ayappa.
According to Wikileaks, the US embassy noted in a cable in 2005 that 'along with principal secretary (in PMO) T K A Nair, Narayanan constitutes what is now a Keralite mafia in the PMO.' PTI.
