Gorakhpur (UP): Attacking BSP chief Mayawati over alleged misgovernance during her regime, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said his government believes in “real development” and does not spend money on stone statues.

The Opposition has nothing to comment upon as the UP govt has been fulfilling all promises made in the party manifesto, Yadav said while distributing 50 laptops to undergraduates at a function held at Madan Mohan Malviya Engineering College here.

“The people who had said that I was distributing ‘Jhunjhuna' (children's toy) to youths of the state are nowhere to be seen, while the government is fulfilling its promise,” he said.

On the grim power situation in the state the Chief Minister said that the government is trying to ‘improve' the scenario.
