Vadodara, May 25: Maharaja Sayajirao University's supreme decision making body approved the proposal to appoint 55 assistant professors on contractual basis on full salary in self-financed progammes at its meeting held here yesterday.
Talking to PTI today, MS University vice chancellor Yogesh Singh said, “It was decided to appoint temporary teachers to the Technology and Engineering faculty on a consolidated salary of Rs 30,000 and at Polytechnic on consolidated salary of Rs 25,000.
The interim report of the committee appointed to enquire into a case of embezzlement of university funds amounting to Rs 2.86 crore through forgery on stolen cheques was discussed in detail by syndicate members.
