Mumbai, Dec 8 : Nikhil Talreja, working as a software engineer in Reliance had the shock of his life on Tuesday night at around 10.45 pm, when sleuths of Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) surrounded their Mansarovar Housing Society in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, and knocked at their apartment no. 601.

The ATS had zeroed in on this IP address through which the Indian Mujahideen had sent its terror mail soon after the Varanasi blast.

Nikhil Talreja works with Reliance, while his brother Akhil Talreja is a DJ who had once performed in one of Anil Ambani's parties. Akhil had composed the Punjabi hit number Tenu Leke Mai Jawanga.

But, it was the ATS which had come to take Akhil and his brother away for questioning. They also seized the laptop, pendrive and wi-fi phone, through which the terrorists had sent their e-mail.

At the other end of the city, in Malad, the ATS sleuths carried out the search of an Internet Service Provider's office in Interface Building.

After questioning for nearly three hours, the two brothers were let off.

Police believe the e-mail was sent either from Nikhil's laptop or his wi-fi connection was hacked by terrorists to send the mail.
Maharashtra Home Minister R R Patil appealed to people having wi-fi connections to keep them secured as instances of hacking of wi-fi connections have come to notice.

Patil denied that anybody has been arrested in connection with the terror e-mail.
